🥧 Arnold Palmer Pie with Homemade Whipped Cream
Ingredients (Serves 8):
For the Filling:
1 cup strongly brewed sweet tea (cooled)
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 pre-baked graham cracker pie crust
For the Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional: lemon zest and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions:
1. Brew & Cool: Start by brewing a strong cup of sweet tea. Let it cool completely—this is where that signature Arnold Palmer flavor starts.
2. Whip the Filling: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and tea. Mix until silky and fully combined.
3. Pour & Chill: Pour the filling into your graham cracker crust and smooth the top. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
4. Make the Topping: In a chilled bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
5. Garnish & Serve: Top the chilled pie with whipped cream. Garnish with a sprinkle of lemon zest or a few mint sprigs for that extra West Texas flair.
